Question: Our three years Old Russian blue kitty is holding its front right paw off ground for 2 months. The cat is not showing any sign of limping or pain. The vet wasn’t able to find anything wrong with the cat. The cat normally plays and does tricks but I don’t think it is one of those tricks. What could be the problem?
You can ask the vet to perform some MRI scans and X-rays, this could help in identifying the physicals issues, if there are any. This is a costly option. But if the vet could not find any problem after these tests then everything should be normal. This can be a sign of complex orthopaedic problem, if that is true then it might get worse with time. The vet will be able to identify that after some tests. This could also be a learnt behavior because she learnt that holding its paws in air, the humans give attention to her. Try ignoring this for a while because if the kitty is just playing then she will get bored after some time and would stop to do that.
